About Me

Gabe Burke, MSW, LISW-S, SHRM-CP

Gabe is an experienced Licensed Independent Social Worker and Certified HR Professional with a demonstrated history of working in Corrections, Co-dependency, Child Welfare & Adoption, Security & Risk Management, Human Resources & EAP, Leadership & Staff Development, Psychotherapy, Training, Diversity & Inclusion, and Health Equity.

Gabe graduated from The Ohio State University with a Master's Degree in Social Work and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Tiffin University. Gabe holds a Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University. Gabe is a product of Columbus City Schools and a proud United States Army Veteran. Gabe is also learning Brazilian Portuguese with the goal of fluency!

My
Story

My company's name is an ode to African American history.

Most marriages between enslaved African Americans were not legally recognized during the American slavery era. Marriage was a legal civil contract, and civil contracts required the consent of free persons. Therefore, enslaved Africans would "Jump The Broom" to signify their marriage and the start to their "New Beginning".

I apply this concept to therapy, training, and consultations. One enters therapy for a myriad of reasons, all in hopes of improving their lives. Clinicians seek training to improve their practice. Also, a business seeks consultation to improve their sustainability and profitability.
